Three Fencers Finish in Top 10 at New England Invitational

The Boston College Women's Fencing Team participated in their first meet of the season -- The New England Collegiate Fall Invitational, held at Smith College (Northampton, MA). Significant results for the women's team include silver medals for Juniors Michelle Guevera (Miami, FL) in foil and Regina Lennox (Broomall, PA) in epee. Forty - five fencers competed in epee, while forty - three competed in foil. Senior foilist Holly Russell (Honeoye Falls, NY) finished ninth in the foil competition to start out her last season as a BC fencer.
Coming off of a strong performance at the Fall Invitational, the team will fence next at Brown University (Providenc, RI) against John's Hopkins, Tufts, Army, and Wellesley. The date of this competition is set for November 20th.
