Ruben Marin Wins BIG EAST High Jump Crown

Boston College junior Ruben Marin (Brownsville, TX) won the high jump at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships held at Syracuse University on February 20-21. His jump of 6'11" was the best of his career and two inches better than the nearest competitor. It was Marin's third straight win in the event.
In the women's competition, sophomore Lisa McIsaac (Edmonton, ALB) finished fourth in the 1000M (2:59.10). Her time of 2:58.00 in the trials was third best in the preliminary heats and her best time of the season in the 1000M.
The men's team finished in 13th place with eight points. The women's team also finished in 13th position, scoring 18 points.
The men's team returns to action at the New England Championships held in Boston, while the women's team will compete in the ECACs held in Boston. Both meets will take place on February 27-28.
