Ramsbotham, Ambros named North/South All-Stars

CHESTNUT HILL, MA -- Senior tri-captains Joy Ramsbotham (Melvin, NH) and Ann Marie Ambros (Bridgeton, NJ) were named as participants in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) North/South Senior All-Star game. The game will be held on Sunday, November 21, 1998 at the University of Pennsylvania , the site of the 1998 Division I Championship.
Ramsbotham and Ambros were two of 43 seniors across the nation chosen for the honor. The duo have been a big part of the Eagles 14-4 record and their No. 8 national ranking this season. Ramsbotham finished the regular season leading Boston College in scoring, tallying 13 goals and four assists for a total of 30 points. Ambros totaled 26 points during the regular season, scoring five goals and recording 16 assists.
The duo will lead Boston College into the BIG EAST tournament as the Eagles try to defend their 1997 BIG EAST Tourney title. The top-seeded Eagles face fourth-seeded Providence on Friday, November 6 at 11:00 am in Villanova, PA. The championship will be played on Sunday, November 8 at 12:30 pm
