Men's Tennis Prepares for BIG EAST Tournament

The Boston College mens tennis team enters the BIG EAST Tournament as the #8-seed and will face #9-seed Georgetown on Thursday, April 22 in Coral Gables, Florida.
The winner will face top-seeded Notre Dame on Friday, April 23. The BIG EAST championship match will be played on Sunday, April 25.
The Eagles enter the tournament with an overall record of 14-11. They have won two consecutive games by a score of 4-3 - against Providence on April 15 and against Boston University on April 17.
BC went 3-3 against BIG EAST competition this season. The Eagles defeated Providence, Seton Hall and Villanova; while falling to Connecticut, Rutgers and St. Johns.
Junior assistant captain Anand Annigeri has been the steadiest singles player. He has an overall record of 22-14-1 and is 14-10-1 while playing in the No. 1 position.
Freshman Marc Lucero owns the Eagles best singles record. Lucero enters the BIG EAST Tournament with an overall record of 18-10 and a 7-3 record when playing in the No. 3 or No. 6 spot.
BCs top doubles team is Annigeri and sophomore Jason Cowett. The tandem has combined for a 19-11 overall record, including a 8-2 record in tournament action.
