Chestnut Hill, Mass---The Northeastern University field hockey team dealt No. 7 Boston College its first loss of the season by shuting out the Eagles 2-0. It was the first time all season the Eagles have failed to score, as Boston College dropped its record to 6-1 overall. With the win, Northeastern avenged a 2-0 loss against Boston College last season while increasing its 1998 record to 2-5. Northeastern goalie Kathleen Madavus played stellar in goal, stopping eight Boston College shots. The Eagles had 14 penalty corners, yet could not convert any of them into scoring opportunities. The loss ended Boston Colleges seven game homestand. The Eagles next game is on the road against New Hampshire on Sunday, September 27 at 2 pm. Boston College then comes back home to Alumni Stadium to face BIG EAST foe Providence on Wednesday, Septmeber 30. Game time is 7:30 pm
