Syracuse, N.Y.---The 12th-ranked Boston College Eagles defeated the Syracuse Orangewomen 2-1 to remain a perfect 3-0 in the BIG EAST. BC got on the board first on a goal from senior Joy Ramsbotham( Melvin, NH) at the 19:29 mark of the first half.

Junior Julianne Marrone(Holden, MA) scored the game-winner on an assist from senior Ann Marie Ambros( Bridgeton, NJ) to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead at the half.

BC goalie Jill Dedman( Orange, CT) had another great game saving six shots holding off the Orangewomen to preserve the one goal lead. Dedman is now 8-2 overall and 3-0 in the BIG EAST.

Boston College will next play at the University of Rhode Island Wednesday afternoon. Game time is 3:30.
