Field Hockey Dominates in 13-0 Victory

Chestnut Hill, Mass -- Nine different Boston College players tallied at least one goal as Boston College cruised to a 13-0 win over Ohio University to open the 1998 season. Freshman Gina Dinan (Portland, ME) scored twice in the first half of her collegiate debut. Seniors Joy Ramsbotham (Melvin, NH), Katie Gentile (Kittery Point, ME) and Anne Marie Ambrose (Bridgeton, NJ) also netted two goals each.
Boston College was on the attack for most of the game, keeping the ball on the Ohio side of the field for over half the game. Ramsbotham put the Eagles first points on the board with a goal at the 23:25 mark in the first half. Boston College tallied five more goals in the game's first 35 minutes, including back-to-back goals by Dinan and Ambrose.
The Eagles will face Temple tomorrow at 11:00 a.m.
