Eagles Skate to a Tie

The womens hockey team came away this weekend with a 3-3 tie to Yale followed by a 6-2 defeat at the hands of the Princeton Tigers.
In the first game of the weekend on Saturday, Boston College(2-10-2) earned their second tie of the season. BC got on the board first in the second period on Caroline Millers(Coldsprings Harbor, NY) first goal of the season assisted by Amber Bobin(Northbrook, IL) and Jane Jorge(Allston, MA). Senior Erin Magee(Troy, NY) scored her team-leading eleventh goal of the season at 3:07 of the third period to give the Eagles a 3-1 lead.
Yale responded late in the third period, tying the game at 18:40. The two teams skated to a tie after BC managed three shots in the extra period.
Freshman Sharon Vantuyl(Pottage, MI) made 24 saves for the Eagles.
In Sundays game versus Princeton, BC fell 6-2. The Tigers came out strong scoring three goals in the first and second period. Erin Magee and Missy Barsz(Walkertown, NC) scored for the Eagles.
