Ambros, Ramsbotham capture All-American Honors

CHESTNUT HILL, MA -- Senior tri-captains Joy Ramsbotham (Melvin Village N.H.) and Anne Marie Ambros (Bridgeton, NJ) were honored for their outstanding senior seasons by earning AstroTurf/NFHCA Division I All-American honors. Ramsbotham captured First Team honors for her spectacular year, when she lead the Eagles with 14 goals and four assists during the regular season. She was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year, a First-Team ALL BIG EAST member and a Northeast Regional All-American. She is just one of 16 players across the country to be honored as a first team All-American. Ramsbotham was a second team Regional All-American after both her sophomore and junior campaigns. She ended her career with 100 points, off of 41 goals and 18 assists in 81 games.
Ambros was named a Second Team All-America. She captured BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year honors after amassing 29 points from six goals and a team high 17 assists, ranking her among the top ten in the nation in assists. She also was named a First Team Northeast Regional All-American for the third consecutive season. Ambros finished her career with 10 goals and 53 assists in 81 games.
Ambros and Ramsbotham were a big part of the Eagles success as they finished the season with a school best 16-6 record. The duo were among five Boston College players who earned First Team Northeast Regional All-American status.
