Women's Soccer Hosts NCAA Tournament Game Wednesday

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College will host the first round of the1999 NCAA Women's Soccer Championships against Fairfield University Wednesday (Nov. 10) at the Newton Campus Soccer Field. Game time is 1 p.m.
BC returns to the prestigious tournament after a 14-year absence. The Eagles qualified in four consecutive years (1982-85), compiling a 2-4 record. Wednesday marks Fairfield's third -straight appearance at the tourney, receiving automatic bids as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Champion in each of those seasons.
The Eagles lead the all-time series 2-0, notching their most recent win (2-0) over the Stags Sept. 4.
The winner plays the tournament's eighth seed, Harvard, Sunday (Nov. 14) in Cambridge, Mass. Game time is at 1 p.m.
