CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Junior midfielder Jen Hall was named to the BIG EAST Field Hockey first team. The team was voted on by league coaches and announced Nov. 4 at the BIG EAST Conference Field Hockey banquet held in Syracuse, N.Y.
The only Eagle to make the first team, Hall scored four goals and had two assists for 10 points on the season. Her overtime goal against Villanova on Oct. 23 gave BC a 2-1 win, guaranteeing the Eagles a place in the BIG EAST Tournament.
Named to the second team were senior goalkeeper Jill Dedman and junior back Morgan Brady.
Dedman, who posted a 9-10-0 record during the regular season, currently sports a 1.86 goals against average and has recorded 227 saves, 71 more than any conference netminder.
Brady, the team's flyer on penalty corners, has been a steady defensive force all year long in addition to contributing five assists.
Freshmen Liz Flood, Kim French and Christy Zider were all named to the All-Rookie squad. Both French, a forward, and Zider, the team's center midfielder have found the back of the net four times while Flood started the final 16 games of the season as the team's right defensive back.
