
Women's Ice Hockey Falls To Dartmouth, 9-2

HANOVER, N.H. - Boston College scored two goals in the final period but it was not enough as #6Dartmouth skated past the Eagles 9-2 Tuesday in Hanover, N.H. BC fell to 1-7-0 overall and 0-7-0 in the ECAC.
Jen Buckley (Greenwich, Conn.) scored both of BC's goals within 1:36 of each other to open the third period's scoring. Amber Bobin (Evanston, Ill.) fed Buckley for a short-handed goal at the two-minute mark then Bobin and Lisa Molvar (Lexington, Mass.) assisted Buckley's next goal at 3:36.
The Big Green's Jennifer Wiehn netted her two goals in the first period while assisting on teammate Kristen Romberg's goal in the second period. Romberg tallied two goals and two assists on the day. Five of Dartmouth's nine goals were scored by its defensewomen.
Lauren Trottier and Kristina Guarino each posted one goal in addition to an assist. Kristen King recorded the visitors' other score, and both Carly Haggard and Corrine Bredin collected two assists each. Suzanne Ewing and Kim McCullough each fed a goal as well.
BC's Christy Nentwig (Chesterfield, Mo.) made 32 saves prior to leaving after two periods while Sharon VanTuyl (Portage, Mich.) contributed 13 saves, allowing two goals in relief.
BC hosts Niagara for a two-day homestand Saturday and Sunday (Nov. 27-28). Game time for both competitions is 2 p.m.
