CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College Head Coach Alison Foley was named All-New England Coach of the Year by NEWISA, and three Eagle players were also recognized in the region with honors announced earlier this week.
Foley guided BC (16-6-1) to the NCAA Tournament's third round for the first time in the program's history. The Eagles square off against Connecticut Saturday Nov. 20 in Storrs, Conn. Game time is at noon. The Keene State Alumna has led the Eagles to a 37-18-6 overall record in her three years on the Heights, bettering her victory totals each year (nine, 12 and 16).
Mary Guarino (Plantation, Fla.) and Sarah Powell (Natick, Mass.) earned First Team honors while Morgan Page (Westerly, R.I.) merited a Second Team distinction.
Both Guarino and Powell were recognized by the BIG EAST conference earlier in November when Guarino landed her first postseason conference recognition (Second Team), and Powell improved upon a Second Team showing in 1998 to deserve First Team Honors in 1999.

Morgan Page is second to Guarino in scoring with 13 goals and seven assists. In just two years at the Heights, Page has totaled 68 career points. Three times this season, Page scored two goals in one match while contributing a goal and assist in five matches. She has four game-winning goals.
