BC Ice Hockey Falls Twice Over Weekend

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - - Boston College dropped to 0-4 overall, suffering a 9-0 loss to Brown Friday (Nov. 12) in Providence then falling 7-2 to 1999 National Champion Harvard Saturday (Nov. 13) at Cambridge.
Brown was led by senior captain Jill Graat, who posted two goals and one assist, and junior Christina Sorbara, who added one goal and two assists.
After managing only four shots on net in the first two periods combined, BC rebounded to outshoot the Bears 12-3 in the final period. BC goalkeeper Christy Nentwig (Chesterfield, Mo./St. Mark's) had 36 saves in the loss.
One day after having its 32-game winning streak snapped by Dartmouth, Harvard bounced back to beat BC 7-2. The Crimson outshot the Eagles 59-14. Junior Tammy Shewchuk led Harvard with four goals and two assists on the night, while sophomore Jennifer Botterill added a goal and three assists.
The Eagles' Christy Nentwig made 52 saves on the night while her Crimson counterpart, Alison Kuusisto, only collected 12.
Jen Buckley (Greenwich, Conn./Taft) and Heather Lane (Clinton, N.Y./Clinton) each notched an unassisted goal, scoring in the second and third period, respectively.
BC hosts RPI Tuesday (Nov. 16). Game time is at 7 p.m.
