Field Hockey Turns Back Colgate

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College field hockey team recorded its second shutout of the week, blanking visiting Colgate 4-0 at Alumni Stadium Saturday.
Four different Eagles tallied in the victory with the Boston College offense unleashing a season-high 37 shots towards Colgate goalkeeper Natalie McLenaghan.
Boston College senior netminder Jill Dedman (Orange, Conn.), picked up her second shutout of the week, registering 11 saves in the process.
Junior Jen Hall (Brewster, N.Y.) opened the Eagle scoring 20 minutes into the game on an unassisted goal. Boston College would wait until 1:30 into the second half to strike again with Kellie Misiaszek (Greenland, N.H.) scoring her team-leading sixth goal of the year. Nichole Bukowski (Windham, Mass.) and Gina Dinan (Skowhegan, ME) closed the Boston College scoring.
Now 7-6 on the season, the Eagles will take to the road for a 7 p.m. game at Connecticut on Oct. 13.
