CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College recorded its fourth shutout of the year, blanking visiting New Hampshire 3-0 in field hockey action Tuesday night at Alumni Stadium.
Kellie Misiaszek scored her team-leading eighth goal 9:57 into the match to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead.
Boston College would remain offensively quiet until the final minutes of the game. Freshman Christy Zider and junior Nichole Bukowski each scored in the last five minutes to create the final margin.
Senior goalkeeper Jill Dedman, who posted her tenth career shutout, stopped a New Hampshire penalty stroke with under two minutes left to preserve the blanking.
Now 9-8 on the season and winners of five of the their last seven, the Eagles host No. 5 Wake Forest on Oct. 29. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m. The regular season concludes on Halloween afternoon as Boston College will host Rutgers at 1 p.m.
