Field Hockey Clinches BIG EAST Berth

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Boston College assured itself of a berth on the BIG EAST Tournament thanks to Jen Hall?s overtime game-winner, as the Eagles took care of Villanova 2-1.
Now 2-2 in conference play, Boston College is gauranteed a spot in the four-team field when play begins in Syracuse on Friday, Oct. 5.
Boston College got on the board early as Kellie Misiaszek tallied her team-leading seventh goal, putting home a feed from Nichole Bukowski and Amy Suchanek.
Hall scored the game winner with a little over seven minutes remaining in the first overtime period. Senior netminder Jill Dedman stopped 13 Wildcat shots in the victory.
The Eagles return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 26 for a home contest with New Hampshire. Game time at Alumni Stadium is slated for 7:30 p.m.
