Men Take Second At New England Cross Country Championships

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Junior Justin Burdon ran to a third-place finish at the New England Cross Country Championships held at Franklin Park in Boston on Oct. 15. Behind his strong finish, the Boston College men's cross country team finished in second place in the team standings.
Burdon's time of 24:14 was a season's best for him. Senior Marshal Armitage was the second Eagle competitor to cross the line. He finished in 15th-place with a time of 24:52. Senior Derek Holland took 24th-place in 25:01.
Sophomore Colin Wolfe and senior Mark Fonnemann rounded out the Eagle scorers. Wolfe finished in 27th place (25:06) and Fonnemann had a career best 25:09 for 30th place.
The men's cross country team will next compete at the BIG EAST Championships held at Van Cortland Park in Bronx, N.Y. on Friday Oct. 29.
