One of the most exciting running backs in program history, William Green was a consensus first-team All-American in 2001 as he ran for 1,559 yards and scored 15 touchdowns. A native of Atlantic City, N.J., Green arrived at BC as a much heralded recruit and lived up to his potential as he scored four touchdowns as a rookie and was used as a short-yardage back. He started only two games in his second season but rushed for 1,164 yards with 14 touchdowns. He was the second-leading rusher in the conference and 20^th in the country. In Green's final season, he rushed for 100 or more yards in nine of 10 games and 200 yards in two games. He is second on the all-time list for rushing touchdowns with 22. He ranks fourth for most TD's in a single season (15) and is the sixth-leading rusher in program history. He was drafted 16^th by the Cleveland Browns in 2001 and currently is a full-time Evangelist and motivational speaker.
