Student-Athlete Mental Health Referral Form
All referrals will be sent to:
Dr. Douglas Comeau, Director, University Health Services and Primary Care Sports Medicine; Head Team Physician, Boston College
Matthew Yellis, Associate Director of Mental Health Counseling, Boston College Sports Medicine
If there is a mental health emergency, DO NOT wait to meet with Sports Counseling; instead, call 617-552-3310 to speak with BC’s Psychological Emergency Clinician.
Sports Counseling will contact the referred student-athlete via BC Health Services secure messaging (the referred student-athlete will be notified via their BC email address).
Appointments are typically scheduled within one week (during periods of high demand or when a student-athlete’s availability is limited, it can take longer).
Most appointments are held in-person at our offices on the third floor of the north end zone area in Alumni Stadium (we also provide virtual appointments when requested).
