
Eagles to Host Minnesota in 2018 ACC/Big Ten Challenge

BC will host the Golden Gophers on Monday, Nov. 26 as part of the 14-game event
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The opponents for the 2018 ACC/Big Ten Challenge were announced today and Boston College will host Minnesota on Monday, Nov. 26 at Conte Forum. Game times and television network assignments will be released at a later date.
ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will combine to televise the entire 2018 event, matching top college basketball programs playing for conference supremacy and the Commissioner's Cup. All games will also be available via the ESPN app.
The ACC took home the Commissioner's Cup in the last two Challenges, with 11 wins in 2017 and nine wins in 2016. The Big Ten won eight of the 14 matchups in 2014 and 2015, while 2012 and 2013 were both ties. Since its inception, the ACC has won 12 Challenges, while the Big Ten has won five.  Â
This will be Boston College's 11th appearance in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and the Eagles hold a 6-4 mark in the event. Last year, BC dropped a 71-62 decision at Nebraska on Nov. 29, 2017.
This will be the first-ever meeting between the Eagles and Golden Gophers on the hardwood.
