BOSTON COLLEGE VS. WESTERN KENTUCKY - ALL-TIME SERIES

Today's game marks the second meeting between the two schools.
Boston College is 0-1 all-time vs. Western Kentucky.
The Hilltoppers won, 74-68, on Dec. 29, 1982 in the first game of the Cotton States Classic at the Omni in Atlanta.
BC head coach Jim Christian was an assistant coach at Western Kentucky from 1990-92 under Ralph Willard.
BC assistant coach Chris Cheeks served in a similar capacity at WKU during the 2016-17 campaign.

BOSTON COLLEGE IN THE NATIONAL INVITATION TOURNAMENT

In 29 games all-time in NIT play, Boston College is 17-12.
The Eagles last appearance came in 2011, winning at McNeese State before falling at home to Northwestern.
Boston College's best NIT finish came in 1969, advancing to the Championship game before falling 89-76 to Temple.
BC has advanced to the semifinals three times - 1969, 1974, 1988.
Head coach Jim Christian has played (Rhode Island - 1987) and coached (Kent State - 2003, 2004, 2005; Ohio - 2013; BC - 2018) in the NIT.

Ky Bowman NAMED TO ACC ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM

After averaging 24.3 points per game in BC's three games, Ky Bowman was named to the ACC All-Tournament second team,.
The sophomore point guard had a double-double with 26 points and 10 boards in the opening round win over Georgia Tech.
He scored 24 points in the victory against N.C. State and had 23 points in the quarterfinal loss to Clemson.
Bowman also averaged 8.0 rebounds per game - most by a guard in the tournament.

Jerome Robinson NAMED ONE OF FIVE NATIONAL FINALISTS FOR THE JERRY WEST AWARD

Jerome Robinson is one of five national finalists for the Jerry West Award, presented to the nation's top shooting guard.
Robinson was one of 20 named to the preseason watch list and earned a spot on the final five of the prestigious award.
Named after the Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer and 1959 NCAA Final Four MVP, the annual honor is now in its fourth year.
The Jerry West Award winner will be honored at ESPN's College Basketball Awards show in Los Angeles on April 6.
He is joined by Grayson Allen (Duke), Marcus Foster (Creighton), Carsen Edwards (Purdue), and Kendrick Nunn (Oakland).

BOSTON COLLEGE BACK ON WINNING TRACK

Boston College's 19 victories are the most since the 2010-11 season. The seven ACC wins are the most since 2012-13.
BC posted a 14-3 record at home this year, posting an 8-0 mark in non-conference.
The Eagles have won 14 home games on five previous occasions - including a program-record 17 wins in 2000-01.
BC also finished with four wins in the month of February for the first time since the 2006-07 season (four).

ACCOLADES FOR THE BEST BACKCOURT IN THE ACC, PT. I

Jerome Robinson and Ky Bowman each earned All-ACC honors in an announcement by the conference office on March 4.
Robinson was the runner-up for ACC Player of the Year, earning 17 of the 57 votes. Duke's Marvin Bagley III won the award.
Robinson was a virtual unanimous pick for All-ACC First Team, garnering 273 of 280 possible points.
He finished the regular season as the ACC's scoring leader - at 20.7 points per game - percentage points ahead of Bagley III.
In league play, the junior guard was dominant - scoring at a 24.3 points per game clip during the ACC's 18-game slate.
He also led the league in 3-point FG percentage, making 43.8% (74-169) of his attempts beyond the arc
Robinson also ranked among the league leaders in overall field goal percentage, free throw percentage, and 3FG made.
Bowman earned a spot on the league's All-ACC honorable mention list.
The sophomore point guard is the only player in the country to average at least 16.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.8 assists.
He is also the only player in the ACC to rank in the top 10 in scoring and assists and top 15 in rebounding.
The Havelock, N.C. native has five double-doubles in points and rebounds and scored 20 or more points on nine occasions.
His best single-game performance was a near triple-double vs. top-ranked Duke: 30 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists. He was named ACC Player of the Week on Dec. 11.

ACCOLADES FOR THE BEST BACKCOURT IN THE ACC, PT. II

Jerome Robinson and Ky Bowman were both named to the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association's All-ACC team.
Robinson was named to the ACSMA's All-ACC First Team while Bowman earned a spot on the Third Team.
Voting was conducted by 22 members of the ACSMA - an organization of journalists dedicated to fostering a mutually beneficial relationship between the news media and the institutions and administration of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

ACCOLADES FOR THE BEST BACKCOURT IN THE ACC, PT. III

Jerome Robinson and Ky Bowman were both named to the United States Basketball Writers Association All-District 1 team.
The best backcourt in the ACC were among the 10 players selected from all Division I schools in New England.

SHARING IS CARING

Jerome Robinson dished out 10 assists during the ACC Tournament, putting him at 116 assists on the year.
Ky Bowman leads the Eagles with a single-season career-high of 163 assists on the season.
It marks the first time since 2010-11 (Reggie Jackson - 156; Biko Paris 117) that two BC players reached the 115 assist mark.
As a team, Boston College has 485 assists on the season - good for an average of 14.3 helpers per game.

STEFFON THE STAT SHEET STUFFER

Thirty-three games into his collegiate career and Steffon Mitchell has proven to be a versatile contributor for the Eagles.
In 30 of the 33 games in which he has appeared, he has led the team in either scoring, rebounding, assists, blocks, or steals.
Mitchell has led BC in rebounding on 17 occasions - including last time out vs. Clemson (nine).
He was the team's leader in blocks 15 times, including five consecutive games (Virginia-Dartmouth).
The freshman forward led BC in steals against N.C. State yesterday as well as 14 other games.
The Shakopee, Minn. native led BC in scoring with 21 points versus S.C State on November 12.
Mitchell was also tops in assists on four occasions, including dishing out a career-best seven dimes at Miami.
Pitt, La Salle and Columbia are the only games this season in which he has not led Boston College in a statistical category.

The Eagles have made 10 or more 3FG in 14 games this year - including 12 last time out against Clemson in the ACC Tourney.
Last year, Boston College made 10 or more 3-pointers in nine of its 32 total games.
BC ranks second in the ACC in 3FG made per game (8.65 3FG/g). The Eagles made 9.33 3FG/g in conference games.

Jordan Chatman leads the Eagles with 87 3-pointers while Jerome Robinson has connected on 80 treys and Ky Bowman 79.
Robinson ranks first (41.9%) and Chatman is fifth (39.9%) in the ACC in 3-point field goal percentage.
Boston College is one of three teams nationally with three players with at least 79 3FG. (Marquette and Mount Saint Mary's).
