BOSTON COLLEGE VS. NOTRE DAME - ALL-TIME SERIES

Today's game marks the 30th meeting between the two schools.
Boston College is 10-19 all-time vs. Notre Dame.
In ACC play, the Eagles are 0-9 versus the Fighting Irish.
From 1988-2005, both schools were members of the Big East.
BC compiled a 9-10 mark vs. the Irish during that span.
The Irish have won the last nine and 14 of the last 15 matchups.

Boston College is 74-138 in 12 seasons in the ACC.
The Eagles began ACC play with an 89-84 win over top-ranked Duke.
Last season, the Eagles finished with a 2-16 mark in league play.
The Eagles' best ACC mark came in its inaugural season, going 11-5 in conference play in 2005-06 en route to a third place finish.

Jerome Robinson is the top offensive guard in the ACC.

A First Team All-ACC candidate, Robinson ranks first in scoring (23.1 ppg) and 3-point FG% (50.0%) in ACC play.
Robinson has scored in double figures in 20 consecutive games.
It is the longest streak by a BC player since Olivier Hanlan (43) between the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons.
The Raleigh, N.C. native has scored 20 or more points in six ACC games, including a career-high 32 points vs. Virginia Tech.
Robinson has scored 20+ on 10 occasions this season and 28 time in his career - second-best among active ACC players.
He leads the league in 3FG%, connecting on 45.1% from the perimeter - including a 48.1% mark in league action.
The last Boston College player to lead the ACC in scoring in conference play was Olivier Hanlan (21.9 ppg) in 2014-15.

Ky Bowman: UNCHARTED TERRITORY WITH STATISTICAL AVERAGES

Ky Bowman is the only player in the country to average at least 16.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game.
He is the only player at the NCAA Division I level to have posted such a stat line since the 1996-97 season.
Bowman's 7.0 boards per game average is the best nationally among players that are 6-1 or under.
The last player 6-1 or shorter to average at least 7.0 rpg for a season was Jeff Early of Southern Illinois (7.2) in 2012-13.
Only three players 6-1 or shorter have averaged 7.0 rpg for a season since the 1996-97 campaign.
Bowman is the only player in the ACC to rank among the top 10 in scoring and assists and top 15 in rebounding.
He ranks tied for fifth in the ACC in scoring, tied for 13th in rebounding, and is fifth in assists.
In ACC-only stats, Bowman ranks fifth in scoring (18.0), eighth in rebounding (8.2), and fifth in assists (4.7).

Jordan Chatman - PATTERN OF IMPROVEMENT

Jordan Chatman is making his case for the ACC's Most Improved Player.
He is averaging close to 5.0 points per game more than last season.
Chatman's FG and 3FG percentages are both up from a season ago.
The junior guard is averaging 1.1 more field goals made per game this season, including close to 1.0 3-pointers made per game.
He leads the team lead with 58 3FG and is third in scoring at 13.2 ppg.

Steffon Mitchell IS AN IMPACT FRESHMAN; CANDIDATE FOR ACC ALL-ROOKIE TEAM

Steffon Mitchell is among the top freshman in the ACC and should be considered for a spot on the ACC's All-Rookie team.
He the the only ACC player - and one of just three players nationally - to average at least 7.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.1 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game with a 1.62:1 assist/turnover ratio.
In ACC play, he averages 7.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 1.1 steals with a 1.80:1 assist/turnover mark. Mitchell and Donte Grantham (Clemson) are the only two players to post those averages.
Overall, Mitchell ranks eighth in the ACC (all games) in rebounding - and fourth among all ACC freshmen.
Since entering the starting lineup for BC at Nebraska on Nov. 29, he is pulling down 8.6 rebounds per game (16 games).
The Shakopee, Minn. native has registered 10+ rebounds in a game on eight occasions, including three double-doubles.
He is poised to become the sixth Boston College freshman to lead the team in rebounds/game since 1972-73.

Jerome Robinson became the 22nd Boston College player to reach the 1,300 career point mark..
Through 24 games, the Eagles have made 10 or more 3-pointers in 10 games this season - including the last three outings.
Last year, Boston College made 10 or more 3-pointers in nine games (32 total games)
The Georgia Tech game marked the first time this season that BC earned the victory despite shooting a lower FG% than its opponent.
It is also the first win since Dec. 11. 2014 that BC earned the win despite an opponent shooting 50.0% or better from the floor.

For his career (76 games), Robinson has 28 games with 20+ points. In 36 career ACC games, he has 15 20-point games.

Twenty-three games into his collegiate career, and Steffon Mitchell has proven to be a versatile contributor for the Eagles.
In 21 of the 23 games so far this season, Mitchell has led the team in either scoring, rebounding, assists, blocks, or steals.
Mitchell grabbed a team-best 10 rebounds last time out vs. Georgia Tech. He was BC's top rebounder on 11 total occasions.
He led BC in steals against Virginia Tech and 11 other games. Mitchell was also tops in assists on three occasions.
He was the team's leader in blocks 10 times, including five consecutive games (Virginia-Dartmouth).
The Shakopee, Minn. native led BC in scoring with 21 points versus S.C State.
La Salle and Columbia are the only games this season in which he has not led Boston College in a statistical category.

POPOVIC SHINES OVER LAST SiX GAMES

Over his last four games, Nik Popovic is averaging 10.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 blocks per game.
He is shooting 54.8% from the floor (23-42) - including 60.5% of his 2FG - and 85.7% from the foul line (18-21).
Versus Virginia Tech, he narrowly missed a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.
He was a perfect 6-for-6 from the floor vs. Dartmouth, scoring 14 points while grabbing eight rebounds.
The sophomore blocked five shots vs. Florida State to go with 14 points, five boards, and three assists.
Popovic added 12 points, nine boards, and two assists at Louisville and dished out four assists at Syracuse

CHARITY STRIPE IN CRUNCH TIME

Boston College is shooting 73.8% from the free throw line over the final five minutes of games this season.
Versus Virginia Tech, the Eagles were 15-of-16 over the last 5:00 of regulation and into overtime.
BC connected on 13-of-14 free throws over the final 5:00 of play in the win over Florida State.
In a bit of irony, the lone misses came from Jordan Chatman - a career 87.7% free throw shooter.
BC knocked down 8-of-8 free throw attempts in the final minute vs. the Seminoles.
Earlier in the season, the Eagles were also 8-for-8 from the foul line over the final minute of play in the win over No. 1. Duke.
In the Eagles' 14 wins, they are shooting 73.7% (70-95) from the foul line over the final five minutes.
In the final minute, the Eagles have made 77.6% (45-58) of its free throws in their 14 victories.
