Ky Bowman scored eight of his 17 points in overtime as Boston College rallied from 10 points down in second half to earn an 80-72 win in overtime.
Trailing 38-28 early in the second half, the Eagles used a 12-2 run to kickstart their offense. BC outscored the Yellow Jackets, 27-10, over an 11-minute stretch, taking a 55-48 lead with 8:08 left in regulation. But Georgia Tech would respond with a 19-8 push, giving it a four-point advantage - 69-65 - with 1:50 to play.
BC would score the final four points of the half, capped by a Steffon Mitchell 3-pointers with 35 seconds to play, tying the game at 69-69. Both teams committed turnovers on their final possessions of regulation, forcing the overtime period.
In OT, Georgia Tech took a 72-71 lead with 2:19 to play before the Eagles scored the final nine points of the period - six coming from Bowman.
BC started off slow offensively, connecting on just 3-of-11 with three turnovers in the first eight minutes of play. Two Jerome Robinson 3-pointers were the only points for the Eagles until a Johncarlos Reyes baseline dunk made it 13-8 with 12:26 left. The Yellow Jackets would build as much as a 12-point lead (28-15) and led 36-28 at the break.

- Johncarlos Reyes put forth one of his best games of the season, coming off the bench to score 10 points (5-7 FG) and pull down four rebounds in 22 minutes.
- Steffon Mitchell registered his eighth double-digit rebounding game, with a team-high 10 (five offensive; five defensive). He finished with eight points, four rebounds, a blocked shot and a steal in 43 minutes.
- Nik Popovic added seven points, six boards, an assist and a steal in 23 minutes. The sophomore forward connected on 5-of-6 from the charity stripe.
- Boston College made 44.3% of its field goal attempts (27-61) on the afternoon, including 11-of-23 3-pointers (47.8%). The Eagles connected on 15-of-21 from the foul line.
- The Eagles assisted on 17 of their 27 field goals while committing 13 turnovers.
- There were five ties and seven lead changes in the game - BC's third overtime affair of the season.
- The six Boston College players that played at least 20 minutes scored at least seven points.
- The Eagles moved to 12-2 at home this season; the 10th time that BC has won 12 or more regular season home games at Conte Forum.
- Jordan Chatman's 12 3-point attempts was a career-high. The previous high was 11, at Virginia Tech last season.
- 7; 4 - Today's game marked the seventh time that BC has erased a double-digit deficit by tying or taking the lead; and it is the fourth time that the Eagles have come back to win after trailing by 10 or more.
- Boston College will travel to Notre Dame on Tuesday, February 6 at the Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center.
