BOSTON COLLEGE VS. SYRACUSE - ALL-TIME SERIES

Today's game marks the 73rd meeting between the two schools.
Boston College is 25-47 all-time vs. Syracuse.
Syracuse is BC's fifth-most common opponent.
From 1979-2005, both teams were members of the Big East.

ROBINSON & BOWMAN - THE BEST BACKCOURT IN THE ACC

Jerome Robinson and Ky Bowman have emerged as one of the top backcourts in the ACC and in the nation.
Robinson and/or Bowman have led Boston College in scoring in the last 16 games and 25 of 29 games this season.
They are the top scoring duo in the ACC, combining for 37.1 points per game overall - including 42.1 ppg in ACC play.
Robinson (20.9) leads the league and Bowman ranks seventh (16.6) in the ACC in points per game.
In ACC games-only, Robinson is the league's top scorer (25.0 ppg) while Bowman is ninth (17.1 ppg).
Over the last seven games, Robinson and Bowman have combined to average 42.6 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists.
Robinson is the ACC's leader in FG% and 3FG% overall and in conference-games only.
Robinson is connecting on 51.2% of his field goal attempts this year; including 56.8% from the floor in ACC play (16 games).
Bowman is one of the top rebounding guards nationally (6.8 rpg) and ranks among the ACC leaders in assists (4.8 apg).
Bowman is poised to become the first guard 6-1 and under in five years to average at least 7.0 rebounds in a season.

Ky Bowman: UNCHARTED TERRITORY WITH STATISTICAL AVERAGES

Ky Bowman is the only player in the country to average at least 16.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game.
Bowman's 6.8 boards per game average is the best nationally among players that are 6-1 or under.
The last player 6-1 or shorter to average at least 7.0 rpg for a season was Jeff Early of Southern Illinois (7.2) in 2012-13.
Only three players 6-1 or shorter have averaged 7.0 rpg for a season since the 1996-97 campaign.
Bowman is the only player in the ACC to rank among the top 10 in scoring and assists and top 15 in rebounding.
He ranks seventh in the ACC in scoring, 11th in rebounding, and is seventh in assists.
In ACC-only stats, Bowman ranks ninth in scoring (17.1), 12th in rebounding (7.4), and seventh in assists (4.5).

Jerome Robinson needs eight more assists to reach 100 for the season. Ky Bowman leads the team with 139.
It would mark the first time since 2010-11 (Jackson - 156; Paris 117) that two BC players reached the 100 assist mark.
Boston College is the only team with three players ranked among the top 20 in rebounds per game in the ACC statistics.
According to the official NCAA stats, BC ranks 17th among most-improved teams (+8.5). NC A&T leads the list (+15.5).

Miami's Lonnie Walker hit a 25-footer with 2.3 seconds remaining to propel Miami to a 79-78 victory over Boston College.
BC led by as many as 14 points - 67-53 - with 6:16 left before Miami outscored BC, 26-11, down the stretch.
Jerome Robinson led all scorers with 30 points. The ACC's scoring leader was 12-of-17 from the floor (2-5 3FG).
Boston College shot a season-best 56.6% from the floor (30-53) for the game - including 65.5% (19-29) in the first half.
BC was credited with 20 assists - the highest single-game total of the season. The Eagles' assist percentage was 66.7%.

Jerome Robinson is the top offensive guard in the ACC, ranking first in scoring (20.9 ppg) and 3FG% (44.5%).
In ACC games only, Robinson ranks first in scoring (25.0 ppg) and 3FG% (45.8%) through 16 ACC games.
The last Boston College player to lead the ACC in scoring in was Olivier Hanlan (19.5 ppg/21.9 ppg ACC) in 2014-15.
Robinson had his streak of 24 consecutive games scoring in double figures snapped on Feb. 20 at N.C. State.
It was the longest streak by a BC player since Hanlan (43) between the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons.
The Raleigh, N.C. native has scored 20 or more points in 11 ACC games, including a career-high 46 points at Notre Dame.
Robinson has scored 20+ on 15 occasions this season and 33 times in his career - first among active ACC players.

Through 29 games, the Eagles have made 10 or more 3-pointers in 11 games this season - including four of the last seven.

STEFFON THE STAT SHEET STUFFER

Twenty-nine games into his collegiate career and Steffon Mitchell has proven to be a versatile contributor for the Eagles.
In 26 of the 29 games so far this season, Mitchell has led the team in either scoring, rebounding, assists, blocks, or steals.
The Shakopee, Minn. native led BC in scoring with 21 points versus S.C State on November 12.
Mitchell was also tops in assists on four occasions, including dishing out a career-best seven boards last time out at Miami.
Mitchell grabbed a team-best six rebounds at Miami. He was BC's top rebounder on 14 total occasions.
The freshman forward led BC in steals against Notre Dame and 12 other games.
He was the team's leader in blocks 13 times, including five consecutive games (Virginia-Dartmouth).
Pitt, La Salle and Columbia are the only games this season in which he has not led Boston College in a statistical category.
