BOSTON COLLEGE VS. LOUISVILLE - ALL-TIME SERIES

Today's game marks the ninth meeting between the two schools.
Boston College is 3-5 all-time vs. Louisville.
Three of the eight matchups came in ACC play.
Last year, BC lost 90-67 at Conte Forum on Feb. 4, 2017.
Ky Bowman scored 18 points, Jerome Robinson had 13 points, and Jordan Chatman 10 in the loss.

BOSTON COLLEGE IN ACC PLAY

Boston College is 73-135 (.351) in 12 seasons in the ACC.
The Eagles began ACC play with an 89-84 win over top-ranked Duke.
Last season, the Eagles finished with a 2-16 mark in league play.
The Eagles' best ACC mark came in its inaugural season, going 11-5 in conference play in 2005-06 en route to a third place finish.
BC finished tied for third in 2006-07 (10-6) and fourth in 2010-11 (9-7).

In conference play, Jerome Robinson is first in the ACC in scoring.
Robinson is averaging 23.3 points per game in six ACC contests.
He has scored 24 or more points in four of his six ACC games, including a season-high 29 points at Virginia.
Robinson had 24 points in the ACC opening victory over No.1 Duke.
His overall FG percentage (55.6%) and 3-point FG% (52.6%) in ACC play, ranks fourth and second, respectively.

Ky Bowman: THE MOST CONSISTENT PLAYER IN THE COUNTRY

Ky Bowman is the only player in the country to average at least 16.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game.
Bowman's 7.1 boards per game average is the best nationally among players that are 6-1 or under.
The last player 6-1 or shorter to average at least 7.1 rpg for a season was Jeff Early of Southern Illinois (7.2) in 2012-13.
Bowman is also the only player in the ACC to rank among the top 10 in scoring and assists and top 15 in rebounding.
He ranks sixth in the ACC in scoring, 13th in rebounding, and is fifth in assists.
Among the top 10 conferences (per KenPom), only two other players rank among the top 10 in scoring and assists and top 15 in rebounding: Chandler Hutchison (Boise St.), Malik Yarbrough (Illinois St.).
Prior to the Dec. 30 game at Virginia, he was the only player in the nation to have at least 10 pts/3 reb/3 asst in every game.

THE NEW BIG THREE: PLAYING THE PERCENTAGES

Through the first seven games of the season (prior to the Nebraska game), Ky Bowman accounted for 19.9% of the offense and Jerome Robinson (19.1%), Deontae Hawkins (17.5) and Jordan Chatman (13.1) accounted for 70.0% of the BC scoring.
Since the Hartford game, Robinson (26.6), Bowman (22.7), and Chatman (20.3) account for 69.6% of the offensive output.

Ky Bowman is the only player 6-1 or shorter in the country with at least four double-doubles with points/rebounds.
Bowman grabbed 13 defensive rebounds vs. Florida State - the most DREB in a single game in more than 16 years.
Ryan Sidney had 14 defensive boards (19 total) in a 105-96 win over St. Bonaventure.
Boston College led Florida State wire-to-wire, never trailing in the 81-75 win on Jan. 15.

Today marks the 15th time that Boston College has played on the same day as a New England Patriots playoff game.
When BC plays on same day as an New England Patriots playoff game, the Eagles are 7-7.
Conversely, the New England Patriots are 10-4 when playing a playoff game on the same day as a BC MBB contest.

HIGH BOARD SCORES FOR MITCHELL

Steffon Mitchell is poised to become the sixth Boston College freshman to lead the team in rebounds/game since 1972-73.
Mitchell has posted 10 or more rebounds in five games and eight or more boards in 12 contests.
The freshman from Shakopee, Minn. would be the fourth BC player to average better than 7.0 rebounds per game as a frosh.
The others: Ryan Anderson (2011-12, 7.4 rpg); Craig Smith (2002-03, 7.9); Danya Abrams (1993-94, 7.1).
Mitchell currently ranks ninth in the ACC in rebounding, at 7.9 boards per outing.
Anderson ranked seventh in the ACC in rebounding, while Smith was seventh and Abrams 10th in the Big East.

Boston College is 6-12 all-time and 1-2 in ACC play in games played on January 21.

Boston College connected on 13-of-14 free throws over the final 5:00 of play in the win over Florida State.
In a bit of irony, the lone miss came from Jordan Chatman - the ACC's third-best FT shooter (90.6% on the season).
BC knocked down 8-of-8 free throw attempts in the final minute vs. the Seminoles.
Earlier in the season, the Eagles were also 8-for-8 from the foul line over the final minute of play in the win over No. 1. Duke.
For the season, the Eagles are shooting 75.3% (64-85) from the foul line over the final five minutes in wins (13).
In the final minute, the Eagles have made 80.0% (42-52) of its free throws in their 13 victories.

EAGLES OFF TO BEST START SINCE 2010-11

Boston College's 13 wins in 18 games is the best start to the season since the 2010-11 season.
That year, the Eagles opened with an 14-5 record through their first 19 games.
BC began the year with a 3-2 mark before starting a seven-game win streak through late November and December.
Included in that seven-game streak were wins over California, Indiana, UMass, Providence, and Maryland.
