NASSAU, Bahamas - The Boston College men's basketball team kickstarted its 2017-18 campaign in the tropics, taking down the CTG Knights in an exhibition bout, 104-83, on Saturday afternoon at the Kendal G.L. Isaacs National Gymnasium.

The Eagles' backcourt of junior Jerome Robinson and sophomore Ky Bowman joined forces for 46 points while junior guard Jordan Chatman accounted for 20 points in BC's first victory of its summer tour. Freshman forward Steffon Mitchell started for the maroon and gold and turned in a strong initial effort, totaling 10 points and leading the Eagles on the glass with nine rebounds.

- Sophomore guard Jerome Robinson led the Eagles with 30 points while classmate Ky Bowman offered up 16 in a victorious effort. Robinson drained 3-of-5 three pointers and pulled down five defensive rebounds.

TURNING POINT
- CTG cut the Eagles' advantage to three late in the game, 80-77, with 8:17 left in regulation. Bowman drilled a three-pointer from the corner to give the Eagles a wider margin with seven minutes to go as they went on to victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles never trailed in the contest the Knights making it close on a couple of occasions. Boston College led, 37-18, as the first 10 mintues of play came to conclusion.
- CTG stormed back in the second quarter, rattling off a 17-2 run and closing the BC's gap to only four, 39-34.
- With three minutes left to play in the first half, a pair of free throws by CTG's Michael Carey made it a two-point affair (41-39). Chatman and Robinson converted a three-pointer and a lay-up, respectively, to give BC a six-point cushion heading into half time.
- The Eagles defense stymied the CTG Knights in the second half as the Eagles outscored their opponent, 51-36, in the second half to cruise to a 21-point triumph.
