Boston College Head Coach Jim Christian
On working through the team's struggles…
"You have to keep working with them. A lot of it's on them. To be quite honest with you, there are certain times you can get through to them and certain times they need to get through to one another. That's up to them. I thought tonight that we had a huge opportunity especially at the half, 31-31. We didn't have anybody leading the way to seize it. Mo (Jeffers) – but I don't know if we had enough people with him. There wasn't enough motion. There wasn't enough passion to play and it's my team. It's on me."
Â
With a team like Pitt that's pretty tall one through five that doesn't play a lot of traditional positions and switches everything, what was your approach?
"You have to know where the switches are coming. You slip screens. You take advantage of some mismatches. It wasn't our offense. We shot 51 percent. We scored 72 points. It's not offense tonight. The defense didn't screw us up. We couldn't guard them. When you give up 83 points, you're going to lose."

Pittsburgh Head Coach Kevin Stallings
On his team's performance…
"I liked how we played outside of the first maybe six or eight minutes of the game. I didn't think we started off the game as sharp as I would have hoped. But I thought after that, we kicked it in and played pretty solidly. We told our guys going into the game that we thought the foul line could be a big difference, and we needed to throw it inside, we needed to drive it in there to get to the foul line. And we were obviously able to do that very successfully."
Â
On Pittsburgh's mindset…
"It wouldn't have mattered if we were playing the Golden State Warriors. We needed a win. It doesn't matter when. When you go on a skid like we've been on, you just need a win. It doesn't matter who it's against. And you don't say to yourself, 'Well, we better get these guys.' You just play them as they come and keep trying to knock the door down. We came close at Carolina – maybe not quite as close at Duke. We've been playing a little better, which I've been saying, and just not a lot to show for it. Fortunately tonight, we played a little better and have something to show for it."
