BOSTON COLLEGE VS. DUKE - ALL-TIME SERIES

Today's game marks the 23rd meeting between the Eagles and Blue Devils.
Duke holds a commanding 20-2 lead in the all-time series.
In ACC play, Duke is 16-1 vs. the Eagles dating back to 2006-07.
Duke has won the last 11 meetings between the two schools.
The lone ACC win vs. Duke came on Feb. 15, 2009 at Conte Forum (80-74).
Tyrese Rice (21) and Joe Trapani (20) led four BC players in scoring, as the Eagles connected on 58.8% from the floor (30-51).
BC downed Duke, 74-73, in the 1985 NCAA Tournament in Houston, Texas.
The Eagles erased a five-point halftime deficit and were led by 20 points from Roger McCready and 19 from Michael Adams.
Last season, BC dropped a 93-82 decision in Durham on Jan. 7, 2017.
Jerome Robinson had 21 points and Ky Bowman added 19 in the loss.

BOSTON COLLEGE IN ACC PLAY

Boston College is 70-132 (.347) in 12 seasons in the ACC.
Last season, the Eagles finished with a 2-16 mark in league play.
The Eagles' best ACC mark came in its inaugural season, going 11-5 in conference play in 2005-06 en route to a third place finish.
BC finished tied for third in 2006-07 (10-6) and fourth in 2010-11 (9-7).
Boston College is 6-6 all-time in ACC openers.

ROBINSON REACHES 1,000 CAREER POINTS

With a second half layup at Hartford, Jerome Robinson became the 42nd Boston College player to score 1,000 career points.
The junior guard is the first BC player to reach the milestone since Olivier Hanlan did so at Pittsburgh on Feb. 26, 2014.
Robinson reached 1,000 points in his 64th career game - the eighth-fastest Eagle to join the 1,000 point club.
He is the 19th BC player to reach 1,000 points as a junior/third-year player.
Four players in BC history - John Austin, Troy Bell, Craig Smith, and Olivier Hanlan - reached the 1,000 point mark as sophomores/second-year players.

BOWMAN IN SELECT COMPANY

Ky Bowman is the only player in the country to average at least 15.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game.
Bowman is also the only player in the ACC to rank among the top 15 in scoring, top 25 in rebounding, and top 10 in assists.
The Havelock, N.C. native ranks 14th in the league in scoring (15.8 ppg), 22nd in rebounding (6.0 rpg), and fifth in assists (5.4 apg).
Nationally, Bowman checks in at 47th in assists per game (5.4) and 38th in total assists (49).

BOSTON COLLEGE VERSUS THE ASSOCIATED PRESS NO. 1 TEAM

Boston College is 3-5 all-time versus the No. 1 ranked team on the AP poll.
The Eagles have won their last two meetings against the top-ranked team.
BC upset No. 1 Syracuse, 62-59, in OT at the Carrier Dome on Feb. 19, 2014
Prior to that, Boston College downed No. 1 North Carolina, 85-78, on Jan. 4, 2009 at the Smith Center.
In the second round of the 1994 NCAA Tournament, the Eagles earned a 75-72 victory over the top-ranked Tar Heels.
This is the second time BC and Duke will play when the Blue Devils are No. 1.
On Dec. 21, 1979, the Blue Devils beat the Eagles, 70-64, as part of the InBank Classic at the Providence Civic Center.

In two games as a starter, Steffon Mitchell is averaging 8.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 steals in 33.5 minutes.
The Dec. 2 win at Hartford snapped a 20-game losing streak in true road games.
Dating back to a 66-59 win at Virginia Tech on March 2, 2015, BC had not won a true road game in 1,006 days.
Jerome Robinson needs five more 3-pointers to reach 100 for his career.
At Hartford, Ky Bowman had four assists and five turnovers - his first negative assist/turnover game since Feb. 11, 2017.

HAWKINS TO MISS REMAINDER OF THE 2017-18 SEASON

Graduate student Deontae Hawkins will miss the remainder of the 2017-18 season due to a knee injury.
The 6-8, 220 lb. forward suffered the injury in the first half of the Eagles' game at Nebraska on Nov. 29.
Before the injury, Hawkins was averaging 12.7 points and 10.0 rebounds through the first seven contests of the season.
Hawkins ranked third in the ACC in rebounding and was among the conference leaders in double-doubles, with four.

He brought maximum effort to every practice and game and was a positive influence on both our veterans and our younger players. He spent his first three seasons at Illinois State and was named to the 2016-17 All-Missouri Valley Conference Second Team.
As a senior, Hawkins led ISU in scoring (14.0) and rebounding (6.5), helping ISU to the MVC regular season title.
He played in 100 collegiate games, totaling 1,106 points, 619 rebounds, 160 3FG made, 103 assists, 59 blocks, and 61 steals.

CHRISTIAN COACHES 500TH CAREER GAME

Jim Christian coached in his 500th career game at a head coach last time out at Hartford.
Christian has compiled 278 career victories in stops at Kent State, TCU, Ohio, and Boston College.
He is the all-time leader in win percentage in the Mid-American (187-80 / .700) in eight seasons at Kent State and Ohio.

20-20 VISION

For the first time this year - fourth time overall - Jerome Robinson and Ky Bowman each scored 20 points in the same game.
At Hartford, Robinson had a game-high 23 points while Bowman added 21 points in the win.
Boston College is 2-2 when Robinson and Bowman each score at least 20 points.

POPOVIC REGISTERS FIRST COLLEGIATE DOUBLE-DOUBLE

Nik Popovic scored 13 points and grabbed a career-best 11 rebounds at Hartford - his first collegiate double-double.
The sophomore forward was 6-of-10 from the floor and connected on his lone free throw attempt.
On the glass, he pulled down five offensive boards and six defensive rebounds in 31 minutes of play.
Popovic ranks seventh in the ACC in offensive rebounding, corralling 3.0 OReb per game.
