BOSTON (AP) - Jared Dudley scored 21 points and Boston College set a school record with 14 made 3-pointers en route to a 94-60 nonconference win over Hartford on Wednesday night.
Sean Marshall scored 13 points, Tyler Roche 12, and Tyrese Rice and John Oates 11 apiece for the Eagles (15-6). Rice added 13 assists.
BC's previous high for 3-point baskets was 13. That was done three times, the last time on Jan. 7, 2001, at Miami.
Alex Zimnickas led Hartford (9-13) with 12 points.
The Eagles, who shot 70 percent in the first half (19 of 27), led 47-30 at intermission.
BC, which usually relies on a low-post offense, came out firing from 3-point range from the start, hitting 3's for four of their first five baskets to open a 16-7 lead 6:19 into the game. Oates made three of the 3-pointers.
Reserve forward Roche hit consecutive 3-pointers 66 seconds apart during a 9-0 run that pushed BC's lead to 33-17 with 7 1/2 minutes left in the half.
BC scored 12 of the first 14 points in the second half to open a 59-32 edge. Rice and Dudley had consecutive 3's before Marshall made converted a 3-point play, making it 70-38 with 12:51 to play.
