Men's Basketball Wins Exhibition, 81-70

Sophomore Ryan Sidney scored 24 points and classmate Andrew Bryant notched 16 points to lead Boston College to an 81-70 exhibition victory over Carleton University before 1,723 fans in Conte Forum.
Junior forward Uka Agbai tallied 13 points and freshman guard Jermaine Watson added 12 points to round out the Eagles' list of double-figure scorers. Sidney, Agbai and Watson each grabbed eight rebounds to lead the victors.
Boston College led 37-30 at halftime and extended its advantage to as many as 20 points -- 63-43 -- with 10:25 to play. Carleton trimmed the BC margin to nine points three times in the game's final four minutes, but the home team answered each time.
Game Notes: BC outrebounded Carleton, 48-33. The Eagles grabbed 21 offensive rebounds ... BC shot 45.5 percent from the field, including 48.6 percent in the second half. Carleton shot 31.0 percent on the night, but just 29.6 percent in the final 20 minutes ... BC committed just nine turnovers. Carleton committed just 10 ... Carleton University, located in Ottawa, Ontario, was led by Robert Smart. Smart, who finished with a game-high 27 points (six three-pointers), is the cousin of BC freshman center Nate Doonekamp ... Dave Smart, the Carleton head coach, is Doornekamp's uncle. Nate's brother, Ben, also played for Carleton and finished with six points ... BC's reserves outscored Carleton's bench, 31-21.
