Shannon Malone joins the Boston College cross country and track and field team as an assistant coach for the 2025-26 season. Malone will also be working with the distance runners for both the men’s and women’s cross country and track & field teams.

Before joining the Eagles staff, Malone was an assistant cross country/track and field coach at Syracuse University, guiding the men’s program to first place at the 2024 NCAA Cross Country Northeast Regional and the women’s to second place.

A 2018 graduate of Syracuse University, Malone was a two-time All-ACC Cross Country and three-time All-ACC Track recipient, winning the 2018 NCAA Cross Country Regional meet and placing in the top 60 of that year’s NCAA Championship.
