Matt Fahey joined the coaching staff in October 2016 and immediately started building a strong diving core. In his first year as the men’s and women’s diving coach, Fahey coached Cole Malatesta ’17 to a school record on 1M and a NCAA Zone qualifying bid.

A native of Middleborough Massachusetts, Fahey began his diving career training under Joe Chirico of Boston Area Diving in 2005. Fahey has also had experience diving under Guy Polino and Alicia Lee-Hanoian of Brown University.

Fahey attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth where he was a diver in the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association under Coach Alicia Lee-Hanoian.

Prior to BC, Fahey spent several years coaching at Boston Area Diving and Brookline High School. Currently, Fahey resides in Brookline. During his spare time, he enjoys cycling, bike racing, and volunteering for Commonwheels Bicycle Co-op.
