Maria Abrams joins Michael Stephens' coaching staff after graduating from Boston College in May 2019 from the Lynch School of Education. Abrams was a four-year member of the BC varsity team where she swam for Coach Stephens and served as captain in her senior year. Transitioning from swimmer to her coaching role, Abrams is excited to work with the Eagles as they continue building into a competitive ACC program.Â
In her time at Boston College, Abrams was a recipient of the Conway Award for Outstanding Sophomore Swimmer in 2017, the Tom Groden Heart of An Eagle Award in 2018, and the Mary Pawlak Award for Special Recognition in 2019. She also received the Rising Leader Award from Athletics in 2018. As a swimmer she specialized in sprint freestyle and breaststroke events.
