The Boston College Athletic Department encourages student-athletes to vote and encourages voter participation and education. Registering to vote is a crucial part of the voting process, so we have provided an easy way to help you stay an engaged and active member of your community.
GETTING REGISTERED
If you register with TurboVote, you will gain access to all of the relevant information about how voting works in your state. If you are already registered, then you do not need to re-register unless you are making changes to your name, address, or political party.
VOTING IN MASSACHUSETTS
Students can register to vote with their school address OR home address.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Learn the voting laws in your state. You don't want to turn into any problems before the election, so it's important to find out your state-specific voting laws via the Fair Elections Center.
Come up with a voting plan. Research shows that having a concrete plan for where and when you plan to vote makes it more likely for a ballot to be cast.
Share your voting plans with your friends. This is a way to hold yourself accountable while also helping your friends and peers to do the same. Asking people about their voting plans will help lead to a higher voting turnout.
