FEATURED GUEST AND HOSTS

John Smoltz
A first-ballot Hall of Famer in the Class of 2015, Smoltz pitched 21 seasons in the Majors; winning the 1995 World Series, 1996 NL Cy Young and earning eight All-Star nods.
He compiled 213 wins, 154 saves and 3,084 strikeouts; pitching primarily with the Atlanta Braves for over two decades. Smoltz became just the second player in MLB history with a 20-win season and 50-save season. He finished his career in 2009 with the Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals.
Since retiring, Smoltz has been a broadcaster for TBS, MLB Network and FOX, where he has called the World Series since 2016.
Jon ‘Boog’ Sciambi '92
Sciambi, a 1992 graduate of Boston College's Morrissey College of Arts & Sciences, joined ESPN full time in 2010 as the play-by-play voice for MLB on ESPN Radio. He got his start in broadcasting at BC's student-run WZBC as an undergraduate.
Sciambi, who was a featured guest at the 2018 Baseball Night, began calling MLB games and college basketball games for ESPN in 2005. Beginning with the 2014 baseball season, he became the regular voice of Wednesday Night Baseball. He previously called Atlanta Braves games from 2007-09 and the Florida Marlins from 1997-04.
Steve Buckley
Buckley, the perennial host of Baseball Night, is a senior writer for The Athletic. He was previously a sports columnist for the Boston Herald for nearly 24 years. Prior to that, he was the Boston columnist for the National Sports Daily and a contributor on ESPN2.
Buckley organizes the yearly Old Time Baseball Game played at St. Peter's Field in Cambridge. The game celebrates the national pastime as it was played around the turn of the 20th century. The 2014 game honored Pete Frates and served as a fundraiser for the ALS Therapy Development Institute of Cambridge and the Pete Frates #3 Fund.
