STUDENT-ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT: PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
The aim of the Personal Development programming is to support a well-balanced lifestyle for student-athletes, encouraging emotional well-being, leadership, personal growth and decision-making skills
Programs include:
- Social Media Training
- Navy SEAL Mental Toughness Training
- Freshman Leadership Program (FLP)
- Freshmen student-athletes connect with each other, as well as upperclassmen student-athletes, to develop self-leadership and community
- Captains Council
- Team captains connect with other team captains, learn from each other and work to develop improved leadership skills
- Student-Athlete Mentoring Initiative (SAMI)
- Upperclassmen student-athletes are paired up with incoming freshmen student-athletes to act as a mentor around navigating life as a student-athlete.
- Business/Dining Etiquette
- Student-athletes are afforded the opportunity to learn business and dining eitiquette in hands-on settings
- Financial Planning & Budgeting
