Boston College Dominates 1500m at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Boston College Men's Track and Field team took on the first day of the Penn Relays Thursday evening. Mateo Bianchi, Theodor Schucht, and Colin Peattie met with a top-10 finish in the 1500m.

Colin Shaver began with the 3000m steeplechase, where he recorded a time of 9:14.68.
Bianchi led the trio with a sixth place finish, crossing the line at 3:42.93. Schucht followed in eighth place at 3:43.31, and Peattie closed with a tenth and a time of 3:43.63. Bianchi and Schucht also recorded personal bests in the 1500m.
Those three marks rank fourth, fifth, and sixth all-time in program history.
Jack Higgins and Patrick Donnelly took on the 5000m. Donnelly ran a 14:33.51, and Higgins a 15:07.92
Aidan Brancaccio concluded the evening in the 10,000m, setting a personal best time of 29:57.32 and finishing eighth.

Next Up: The Eagles continue action at the Penn Relays, as they are set to race the distance medley relay on Friday, beginning at 2:40 p.m.
