Zhang in the Hunt at NCAA Regionals

NORMAN, Okla. -- Cynthia Zhang is tied for 14th place after the opening two rounds of play at the 2025 NCAA Regional, held at the Jimmie Austin Golf Course. She is at even-par (144) and ranks as the top individual among the six in the field.

Due to inclement weather, golfers played 36 holes on Monday. Zhang is at even-par, opening championship play with a 1-over 73 on Monday morning, followed by a 1-under 71 during the afternoon round.

During the second round, Zhang was bogey-free for the final 10 holes, logging birdies on two of the last three holes. The junior carded seven birdies and 23 pars on the day. She played par 4 holes at even-par (4.0 avg) and par 5 holes at 1-under (4.88 avg).

The third and final round will be played tomorrow, depending on weather conditions.

The top five teams - and the low individual from a non-advancing team - from each regional site will advance to compete in the national championship tournament to be played May 16-21 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
