Women’s Hockey Gets Set to Face Merrimack

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's hockey team continues Hockey East play on Saturday, Oct. 19 against Merrimack.
BC will faceoff at Lawler Rink this Saturday, with puck drop at 6 p.m.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- Boston College and Merrimack will meet on Saturday evening for one game.
- Last season the Eagles swept Merrimack in the three-game series, with Boston College outscoring Merrimack 12-8. BC scored six goals in the final meeting resulting in a 6-4 victory.
- The Eagles are coming off a two-game series against Holy Cross, the two sides split the series. Holy Cross took the first game in a 4-1 victory, while BC bounced back and won the second game 5-1.
- Abby Newhook leads the team in goals, she is one away from 50 career goals.
THE SERIES WITH MERRIMACK
- This marks the 29th meeting between the Eagles and the Warriors.
- BC holds a 27-1-0 advantage over Merrimack.
A WIN ON SATURDAY WOULD
- Boston College would improve to 3-3-0 overall and 2-1-0 in Hockey East play.
- Improve BC's all-time record to 28-1-0 against Merrimack.
SCOUTING MERRIMACK
- Merrimack started the season with a record of 2-2.
- The Warriors started the season with a two-game losing streak against St. Lawrence University and Boston University.
- Merrimack just swept a series against Vermont, in the two games the Warriors scored six goals, while only allowing four.
- Rachel Bjorgan leads the Warriors in goals, with two respectively. Rachel notched both her goals in the Vermont series scoring in both games.
- Margaux Favre and Calli Hogarth have split the time between the pipes for Merrimack, Favre has a save percentage of .877 and a goals-allowed average of 2.78 and Hogarth has a save percentage of .867 and a goals-allowed average of 4.07.

- Three different Eagles notched their first career goal on Saturday against Holy Cross.
- Kara Goulding, Carson Zanella and Lauren Glaser recorded their first career goals.
- Bailey Callaway recorded her first career win, during Saturday's win against Holy Cross.
