Aguiar Named ACC Co-Freshman of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Marice Aguiar was named the ACC Women's Co-Freshman of the Week on Tuesday following an undefeated weekend in conference play.
Aguiar began the weekend by defeating Anna Arkandianou from No. 7 Florida State in straight sets on Friday. She then beat Miami's Daevenia Achong on Sunday in three sets for her third straight ACC singles victory.
The rookie from Puerto Rico teamed up with Laura Lopez to win both doubles matches against the Seminoles and Hurricanes, improving to 6-2 as a pair this season.
Boston College returns to action this weekend on the road against a pair of ranked opponents No. 15 NC State and No. 11 Wake Forest.
