Boston College Varsity Club Elects 56th President

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Former Boston College running back Derrick Knight '03 was elected the 56^th President of the Boston College Varsity Club at the 83^rd annual meeting earlier this month.

Knight, an All-Big East Second Team selection, set the all-time Boston College rushing record upon graduation with 3,725 yards in 2003. He is now fourth overall in rushing yards and has 25 career touchdowns. Knight was the recipient of the George Bulger Lowe Award presented by the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston as the outstanding football player in New England.

A native of Rockland, Mass., Knight and his wife Jessica, are the parents of a daughter Payton and a son Myles.

Founded in 1937, the Boston College Varsity Club's mission is to preserve the traditions, foster the ideals, and advance the interests of Boston College Athletics.
