
Sullivan, Lopez Named Eagles of the Week

Sean Sullivan of men's track and field and Laura Lopez of women's tennis have been named the Musco Lighting Eagle of the Week.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College senior Sean Sullivan of men's' track and field and sophomore Laura Lopez of women's tennis have been named the Musco Lighting Eagles of the Week for their performances this past weekend.

At the Boston University Valentine Invitational on Saturday, Sullivan ran a school-record time of 4:02.26 in the mile. Sullivan, a native of Rutherford, N.J., broke the program's 13-year old indoor record with his performance, which placed him 21st overall out of 342 runners in the event.

Lopez improved to 10-0 in singles during the spring season with a pair of wins over Syracuse and Cornell. The native of Barcelona, Spain pulled out a 5-7, 6-2, 7-6(5) ACC victory over Sofya Treshcheva at Syracuse in a third-set tie breaker. Lopez also went 2-0 with Elene Tsokilauri in doubles against the Orange and Big Red.
