Johnson and Gouvin Pick Up Eagle of the Week Honors

Zion Johnson and BC football rolled to a win over Georgia Tech, while Gouvin scored her first career goal in a win at Syracuse.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Boston College football's offensive tackles Zion Johnson (Bowie, Md.) and women's soccer midfielder Laura Gouvin (Monson, Mass.) were named this week's Eagles of the Week, presented by Musco Lighting.
Johnson started at left tackle as the Eagles rolled to a 48-27 home victory over Georgia Tech; the third highest scoring output by BC in an ACC game since joining the league. The Eagles' offensive line dominated of front to the tune of 264 rushing yards; a season-high, while not allowing the Yellow Jackets to once get to quarterback Phil Jurkovec.
Gouvin scored her first career goal in BC's win at Syracuse on Thursday night, which went down as the game-winning goal as well. She registered two shots and now has three points on one goal and one assist this year.
