
Lantin, Hamilton Named Eagles of the Week

Alexa Lantin and Jairus Hamilton have been named the Musco Lighting Eagles of the Week.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Sophomores Alexa Lantin and Jairus Hamilton have been named the Musco Lighting Eagles of the Week for their performances this past weekend.

In the swim team's meet against Boston University on Saturday, Lantin broke her own school record in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:18.62. In addition to that first-place swim in the 200-yard breaststroke, the Harrison, N.Y. native also earned a second-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:05.57 and was part of a second-place 200-yard medley relay team (1:45.18). The Eagles defeated the Terriers for the first time in four years.

Hamilton averaged 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists in a 1-1 week for the men's basketball team. The Charlotte, N.C. native connected on 76.5% of his shot attempts from the floor, making 13-of-17, and made 6-of-8 from beyond the arc, including 5-of-7 in a win over Virginia Tech. Hamilton had a career-high 23 points in the 61-56 win over the Hokies and added a season-high eight rebounds. In a two-point loss at Pittsburgh, he shot 6-of-6 from the floor, good for 13 points.
