Balido, Kellett Named Eagles of the Week

Balido helped volleyball to two-win ACC weekend, Kellett scored twice on the week for men's soccer.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College senior Joe Kellett and senior Cat Balido have been named the Musco Lighting Eagles of the Week for their performances this past week.

Kellett scored twice for the men's soccer team last week. In a 1-0 win over UMass, the captain slotted home the game-winning penalty kick in the 48th minute. In ACC action at No. 18 Virginia Tech on Friday, Kellett placed a 90th-minute set piece shot inside the post for the game-tying goal in the eventual 2-2 tie.

Balido finished a 2-0-0 week for the volleyball team with 27 kills, a .390 hitting percentage, five blocks and 10 digs. Balido had 15 kills and three blocks in the Eagles' five-set win over Georgia Tech on Sunday to go with her 12-kill, two-block performance in a four-set win over Clemson on Friday.
