Eagles Earn ITA All-Academic Status

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Boston College women's tennis program has earned recognition as an All-Academic Team, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on Thursday. Additionally, four Eagles were named ITA Scholar-Athletes for their work in the classroom: Micayla Casella, Marion Conklin, Laura Lopez and Maria Ross.
The ITA All-Academic award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.2 or above. In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.
This year, the ITA saw an increase in qualifying teams as All-Academic honors were awarded to 940 teams.
