Burke, Arsenault Named Eagles of the Week

Burke ran the second-best outdoor 5K in BC history, Arsenault helped lacrosse to the ACC regular season title.

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College seniors Sean Burke and Dempsey Arsenault have been named the Nissan Eagles of the Week for their performances this past weekend.

Burke broke the 14-minute mark in the 5,000-meter run at the Virginia Challenge, clocking in at 13:59.61. Burke's time was good for second all-time in Boston College history for the outdoor 5K. The Pleasanton, Calif. native closed the final 400 meters of the race in 60 seconds to break 14 minutes.

Arsenault registered 10 points in a two-win week for the lacrosse team, scoring nine goals and assisting on one other. She also picked up two ground balls on the week and had one caused turnover. Against Louisville on Saturday – in the Eagles' 19-6 ACC Regular Season Championship-clinching win – she had a game-high seven points on six goals and one assist and was 3-for-3 on free-position attempts. Earlier in the week against Yale, she had a team-high three goals.
