Burke, Eagles, Finish Weekend at ACC Championships

Sean Burke Places Fourth Overall in the 5000M at the ACC Championships
BLACKSBURG, VA. – The Boston College men's track and field team was back in action this past weekend at the ACC Indoor Championships at Virginia Tech.

On the track, Marcus Manson placed 20th in the 400M with a time of 49.13. Stephen Windisch placed 26th with a time of 50.05.

In the 800M, Russell Wells placed 16th with a time of 1:53.04. Matthew Morano placed 24th with a time of 1:55.25.

Sean Burke had a gusty performance in the 5000M. The senior placed fourth overall with a PR time of 14:11.99, three tenths of a second shy of breaking the Boston College school record. Burke also placed 20th overall in the 3000M with a time of 8:22.43.

Ian Ritchie fought hard in the mile for the Eagles. The senior placed ninth overall, crossing the finish line with a time of 4:09.21.Â

In the field, Avery Mckenzie placed eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 14.48 meters. Fellow Eagle Michael Oduro placed 10th overall with a distance of 13.29 meters.

The team is back in competition next Saturday (Mar. 2) and Sunday (Mar. 3) at the ICAAAA Indoor Championships hosted by Boston University.
