Bentley Announces 2018-19 Women's Tennis Schedule

The schedule will feature 14 days of competition at the Flynn Complex
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College head women's tennis coach Nigel Bentley announced the team's schedule for the upcoming 2018-19 season on Tuesday.Â

"Billie Jean King once said playing in big matches is a privilege," said Bentley. "Our schedule is packed with exciting matches against national and regional contending teams and provides us great opportunity. This is terrific for our team and fans. We have a deep and talented team this year that will be focused on each day and getting better that day."

The Eagles will play six tournaments across four weekends in four during the fall season. The team is set to open the fall slate in New Haven, Conn., competing in the Yale University Invitational from Sept. 28-30.

The following weekend, the Eagles will be split among multiple tournaments with the ITA Regional Championships taking place at Yale Oct. 11-15 and the Brown University Tournament running from Oct. 12-14 in Providence. Two weeks later, it'll be another split weekend with a return to Brown Nov. 2-4 for the Brown University Quad and a trip to the Dick Vitale Clay Court Invitational held the same three days, Nov. 2-4, in Lakewood, Fla. The fall campaign wraps up at the ITA Fall Championships from Nov. 7-11 and LSU's Tiger Fall Classics from Nov. 9-11.

In the spring season, the squad will host 14 days of competition at the Flynn Complex, beginning with a non-conference meeting with Dartmouth on Saturday, Jan. 19. After hosting Brown on Monday, Jan. 21, the Eagles will host their first if two non-conference doubleheaders in the spring slate, facing Bryant and Marist on Saturday, Jan. 26.

After hosting Yale on Jan. 27 and then visiting nearby Harvard on Feb. 1, Boston College will begin ACC play when Syracuse visits on Feb. 3. After a home doubleheader on Feb. 9 with Boston University and Rhode Island, it's back to conference play at Virginia on Feb. 15. After hosting North Carolina (Feb. 22) and NC State (Feb. 24), the team heads south for matches at Wake Forest (March 1) and Clemson (March 3).

Three consecutive home matches being with a non-conference match with Binghamton on March 16 before ACC action with Virginia Tech (March 17) and Florida State (March 22). After visiting Georgia Tech on March 24, the Eagles host the University of Houston in a non-conference match on March 29.

Conference play then consumes the rest of the spring slate. After a trip to Louisville on March 31, Bentley's team will wrap up its home slate with matches against Miami (April 5) and Pittsburgh (April 7). Boston College ends its regular season with road affairs at Notre Dame (April 12) and Duke (April 14).

The ACC Championship will be held April 17-21 in Cary, N.C.
